Fr Gabriel was born in Nigeria on 28th February, 1978. He is the 8th child of his parents among 9 children. His family is from the Igbo speaking tribe in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Specifically, they are from Ezinifite, Aguata L.G.A in Anambra state, Nigeria. Though he is from the Igbo speaking region of Nigeria, he was born in the southern coastal part of Nigeria, Warri, Delta state.

With regards to his studies, Fr Gabriel did most of his studies in Nigeria before relocating to Australia on 24 December 2010. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Masters degree in Theology. Also, he has a Diploma in Web Development.

On June 27, 2009, he was ordained a Catholic priest. He has worked in various parishes in Nigeria and Australia (within the Diocese of Lismore) before posted to work in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Tweed Heads.

He is very passionate about his work as a priest. He loves God and feel's humbled, privileged and honoured to be called by God to serve as a Catholic priest.

For his hobby, Fr Gabriel loves playing Soccer, Tennis, and doing some work on the web.
